FAQ

How do I know if I have a migraine?

Migraines are often misdiagnosed and treated as a headache. If you get a headache regularly, keep track of the signs and symptoms and make an appointment with a doctor to discuss them and to get a proper diagnosis.

How long is too long for a migraine?

If a migraine lasts longer than three days and it isn’t responding to medication, you should seek a doctor’s help. You may need to go through tests or get a prescription for an alternative migraine medication.

Can migraine cause brain tumor?

There’s no evidence that a migraine can cause brain tumor. If you think you might have a brain tumor you should seek medical attention immediately.

Why does vomiting help migraines?

Vomiting may help relieve migraine headaches because it causes a change in blood flow, which helps reduce pain.

Are migraines life threatening?

Migraines, but themselves, aren’t life-threatening. However, if it’s a symptom, the underlying condition could be. If you’re experiencing migraine, visit a doctor to make sure that it’s not a symptom of infections, tumors, meningitis, or other serious conditions.

What is the difference between emergency and urgent care?

The difference between emergency and urgent care is that emergency rooms in hospitals treat life-threatening conditions and injuries, whereas urgent care clinics treat illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention but are non-life-threatening.

Are your urgent care centers open after hours?

Yes. Most of our urgent care centers are open after hours, making health care more accessible for all residents in NYC.

Should I make an appointment for urgent care?

Not necessarily. Most urgent cares accept walk-in patients. But if you want shorter wait times, you can book an appointment through phone or online.

Can I go to urgent care for non-emergency?

Yes. You can go to urgent care for consultations, physicals, primary care, lab tests, and more.

Can I pay for urgent care appointment without insurance?

If you have no insurance, we provide our services without insurance for self-pay patients, giving you the care when you need it most.
