Dupixent is not a rescue treatment

Dupixent does not treat an acute asthma attack, acute bronchospasm, or another emergency. Seek emergency care for severe breathing trouble, and follow the prescribed rescue plan.

What to expect from evaluation through follow-up

The order and timing vary by diagnosis, prescribing responsibility, coverage, medication delivery, and the confirmed care site.

1. Review the diagnosis and treatment history

Bring the current prescription or proposed plan, specialist notes, prior medicines, relevant testing, symptom history, and reasons for starting or transferring treatment.

2. Confirm dose, device, and training needs

The prescriber verifies the indication-specific dose and schedule and decides who will inject after appropriate preparation and technique training.

3. Coordinate benefits and the pharmacy

Review plan requirements, authorization, expected cost, specialty-pharmacy routing, and eligible DUPIXENT MyWay resources without promising approval or savings.

4. Confirm the delivery and support site

Medication delivery, storage, injection support, and any administration visit are arranged only after the clinic accepts the plan.

5. Monitor treatment

Follow-up reviews condition control, injection technique, missed doses, adverse effects, eye symptoms where relevant, other medicines, and whether specialist care needs to change.

Dupixent care changes with the indication

Nao's allergy and respiratory care focuses on condition-specific evaluation and injection support. Other Dupixent indications may require oversight from dermatology, gastroenterology, ENT, or another specialist.

For asthma, Dupixent is add-on maintenance treatment for patients age 6 and older with moderate-to-severe eosinophilic or oral-corticosteroid-dependent asthma. It is not for acute bronchospasm or status asthmaticus.
The current April 2026 label includes CSU in adults and children age 2 and older who remain symptomatic despite H1 antihistamine treatment. It is not indicated for other urticaria types.
Dupixent is intended for use under healthcare-provider guidance. Patients or caregivers may inject after proper training and a provider decision, with age-specific supervision requirements.
The label advises prompt reporting of new or worsening eye symptoms and cautions against abrupt corticosteroid reduction. Vaccination and parasitic-infection questions should be reviewed before treatment.

Confirmed delivery and appointment

A specialty pharmacy may send patient-specific medication only after Nao provides the accepted clinic and delivery instructions. Administration is scheduled after receipt and safety confirmation.

Dupixent safety and follow-up

Report hypersensitivity symptoms, new or worsening eye pain or vision changes, persistent conjunctivitis, new joint symptoms, rash, or worsening breathing symptoms.
Do not stop inhaled, systemic, topical, or other corticosteroids abruptly when starting Dupixent.
Review age-appropriate vaccines before treatment and avoid live vaccines during treatment unless the prescribing clinician gives specific guidance under the current label.
