Tezspire injection support in NYC

Tezspire is an add-on maintenance treatment for severe asthma in adults and adolescents age 12 and older. Nao Medical can review the care plan, coordinate an accepted outside order, and plan coverage, delivery, injection support, and follow-up.

The first visit confirms severe-asthma history, current controller treatment, other conditions, the responsible specialist, and whether Tezspire is clinically and operationally appropriate. A dose is not assumed to be available on the day of evaluation.

Tezspire is not for acute bronchospasm or status asthmaticus

Use the prescribed rescue plan and call 911 for severe or rapidly worsening breathing symptoms. A Tezspire visit is not emergency asthma treatment.

Evaluation comes before medication delivery Book an evaluation first. The care team confirms the clinical plan, coverage path, receiving clinic, and appointment before any specialty-pharmacy shipment or administration.

What the Tezspire evaluation reviews

The decision begins with severe-asthma confirmation and current treatment, not with the medication name alone.

Severe-asthma history

Review exacerbations, emergency care, systemic steroid exposure, current symptoms, prior testing, and the treatment needed to maintain control.

Controller treatment and comorbidities

Check inhaler technique, adherence, access, rhinitis or nasal polyps, reflux, sleep apnea, smoking or exposures, and other causes of poor control.

Administration and follow-up fit

Confirm the prescriber, device, injection setting, training if appropriate, coverage, delivery, safety questions, and response-review plan.

What to expect from evaluation through follow-up

The order and timing vary by diagnosis, prescribing responsibility, coverage, medication delivery, and the confirmed care site.

1. Confirm the severe-asthma workup

Review diagnosis evidence, prior lung testing, exacerbations, steroid courses, adherence, inhaler technique, and other conditions that can worsen symptoms.

2. Review the prescription

Confirm the indication, age, labeled dose and schedule, current asthma medicines, prior biologics, vaccination questions, and relevant infection history.

3. Coordinate coverage

Review authorization criteria, expected patient cost, specialty-pharmacy or medical-benefit route, and eligible Amgen SupportPlus resources.

4. Confirm delivery and injection support

Set the receiving location and appointment only after the clinic accepts the medication route, device, storage, staffing, and safety plan.

5. Monitor the response

Track exacerbations, steroid exposure, symptoms, lung function when available, daily activity, adverse effects, and whether the treatment plan should continue or change.

Current Tezspire label facts

The current U.S. prescribing information was updated in October 2025. Severe-asthma claims and administration planning should be checked again on the day of clinical approval.

  • Tezspire is labeled as add-on maintenance treatment for severe asthma in adults and pediatric patients age 12 and older.
  • The recommended dose is administered subcutaneously once every four weeks.
  • The vial and prefilled syringe are intended for healthcare-provider administration. The prefilled pen may be used by a trained patient or caregiver after the healthcare provider determines that is appropriate.
  • The label warns about hypersensitivity reactions, including postmarketing anaphylaxis, abrupt corticosteroid reduction, parasitic infections, and live attenuated vaccines.

Coverage, outside orders, and specialty-pharmacy delivery

Nao can coordinate these steps when the clinical program and receiving site approve the plan. Coverage, assistance, delivery time, and administration are never guaranteed.

Outside-order review

A valid order is reviewed with the diagnosis, dose, records, responsible prescriber, adverse-event plan, refill responsibility, and follow-up. Acceptance is not automatic.

Benefits and authorization

The care team can review the pharmacy or medical benefit, documentation, prior authorization, appeal path, expected patient cost, and eligible support resources.

Confirmed delivery and appointment

A specialty pharmacy may send patient-specific medication only after Nao provides the accepted clinic and delivery instructions. Administration is scheduled after receipt and safety confirmation.

Tezspire safety and treatment continuity

  • Report rash, eye symptoms, swelling, breathing changes, fainting, or another possible hypersensitivity reaction; call 911 for severe symptoms.
  • Do not discontinue systemic or inhaled corticosteroids abruptly when starting Tezspire.
  • Discuss current or recent parasitic infection and planned vaccines before treatment; the label advises avoiding live attenuated vaccines.
  • Common adverse reactions in the asthma trials included pharyngitis, joint pain, and back pain. The prescriber reviews the full safety information and individual history.

Review Nao Medical's urgent and emergency care guidance. Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency.

Clinics available for evaluation booking

The specialty route offers evaluation booking across these 11 clinics through the PCP NP visit type. Appointment times vary. An evaluation location is not automatically an administration location. Nao does not promise on-hand medication or same-day injection. The care team confirms the eligible administration site separately for each patient and product.

Tezspire injection support questions

The current U.S. label includes adults and pediatric patients age 12 and older as add-on maintenance treatment for severe asthma. A clinician must still confirm the diagnosis and individual fit.
Tezspire is given by subcutaneous injection. It is not an intravenous infusion.
The labeled schedule is one dose every four weeks. The prescriber confirms the exact product, device, timing, and missed-dose plan.
The U.S. severe-asthma indication is not limited to a named eosinophil threshold. Clinical fit and coverage still depend on the complete severe-asthma history, prior treatment, and payer criteria.
The prefilled pen may be used by a patient or caregiver after proper training and a healthcare-provider decision. The vial and prefilled syringe are intended for healthcare-provider administration.
Do not stop inhaled or systemic corticosteroids abruptly. Tezspire is add-on maintenance treatment, and any change to controller therapy should be gradual and supervised.
Only after Nao accepts the care plan and confirms the receiving location, patient-specific order, delivery instructions, storage, staffing, and appointment. Do not arrange shipment first.
No. It provides support resources for eligible patients, but the health plan and program rules determine authorization, assistance eligibility, and patient cost.
