Cinqair is not a routine clinic injection. The FDA-approved product is a weight-based intravenous infusion for adults with severe eosinophilic asthma. Evaluation confirms eligibility, an infusion-capable site, anaphylaxis readiness, authorization, drug acquisition, monitoring, and specialist follow-up before any treatment appointment.

Nao infusion capacity is not yet verified

The specialty route books evaluation only. Cinqair administration remains conditional on a named medical lead, infusion protocol, emergency readiness, pharmacy and payer workflow, and an approved infusion site. Referral to another infusion center may be required.

What must be confirmed before Cinqair

The evaluation starts with severe-asthma eligibility and ends with a documented infusion plan. A clinic address alone is not proof that the site can receive or infuse Cinqair.

Adult severe eosinophilic asthma

The current label is limited to adults with severe asthma and an eosinophilic phenotype. It is not approved for other eosinophilic conditions.

Weight-based prescription

The labeled dose is 3 mg per kg every four weeks. Weight, dose calculation, preparation, dilution, and infusion orders must be current.

Infusion and observation

A trained healthcare professional gives the infusion over 20 to 50 minutes and observes the patient during and after treatment.

Emergency readiness

The site needs staff, medicines, equipment, escalation procedures, and transfer arrangements to manage anaphylaxis.

What to expect from evaluation through follow-up

The order and timing depend on diagnosis, specialist responsibility, coverage, medication or infusion acquisition, the accepted care site, and clinical follow-up.

1. Confirm the asthma pathway

Bring specialist records, eosinophil results, pulmonary testing, inhaler history, exacerbations, oral-steroid use, prior biologics, allergies, and insurance.

2. Review infusion safety

The clinical lead confirms indication, weight, contraindications, current control, rescue plan, anaphylaxis history, medications, and required observation.

3. Approve the site and benefit

The team confirms whether Cinqair uses the medical benefit, where it can be acquired and stored, the infusion order, authorization, patient cost, and site acceptance.

4. Schedule after every gate closes

The infusion is scheduled only after medication, staffing, equipment, emergency procedures, observation, follow-up, and the accepted site are documented.

Current Cinqair label facts

DailyMed's February 2020 prescribing information remains the current U.S. label as of August 1, 2026. The active package record supports commercial status, not Nao availability.

Patient-specific acquisition

Medication is ordered or shipped only after the accepted acquisition channel, delivery address, receiving process, storage, and patient-specific appointment are confirmed.

Administration or infusion site

An evaluation clinic is not automatically a treatment site. The team confirms staff, equipment, emergency readiness, observation, and referral needs for the selected product.

DailyMed shows an active Cinqair BLA record and one package without a marketing end date. This does not establish Nao infusion capability, product access, medical-benefit approval, or a patient-specific infusion site.

Cinqair boxed warning and infusion safety

Cinqair has a boxed warning for anaphylaxis. In placebo-controlled studies, anaphylaxis occurred in 0.3% of patients and began during or within 20 minutes after infusion completion.
Observe the patient during the infusion and for an appropriate period afterward. Stop Cinqair immediately and treat if anaphylaxis occurs.
Malignancies were observed more often in Cinqair-treated trial patients than in placebo patients. The prescriber reviews this label information in the individual risk discussion.
Do not stop inhaled or systemic corticosteroids abruptly. Treat pre-existing helminth infection before therapy and address uncontrolled or worsening asthma promptly.
