With Nao Medical's urgent care, you can either walk in or make an appointment ahead of time. You can visit our urgent care or walk-in medical clinics near you during operating hours. We're open seven days a week and closed only if NYS declares an emergency.

When should you go to emergency care for a headache?

You should get emergency care for a headache when it happens suddenly and if it prevents you from performing simple daily activities. Other indications that you should seek emergency care is when a headache is accompanied by fever, difficulty walking, numbing, blurred vision, and slurred speech.

How do I know if my headache is serious?

A headache may be serious if it’s sudden and very intense, also called a thunderclap headache. Other serious signs are stiff neck, high fever, nausea and vomiting, nosebleed, loss of balance, and fainting.
